I’ll Fly Away Lyrics

I’ll Fly Away Lyrics

I’ll Fly Away Lyrics 🙂

Some glad morning, when this life is o’er
I’ll fly away,
To that home on God’s celestial shore
I’ll fly away.
I’ll fly away, O glory
I’ll fly away
When I die, Hallelujah bye and bye,
I’ll fly away.
When the shadows of this life have flown
I’ll fly away.
Like a bird from prison bars has flown
I’ll fly away.
I’ll fly away, O glory
I’ll fly away
When I die, Hallelujah bye and bye,
I’ll fly away.
— Instrumental —
Just a few more weary days and then
I’ll fly away.
To a land where joys shall never end
I’ll fly away.
I’ll fly away, O glory
I’ll fly away
When I die, Hallelujah bye and bye,
I’ll fly away…
I’ll Fly Away Lyrics is a hymn written in 1929 by Albert E. Brumley and published in 1932 by the Hartford Music company in a collection titled Wonderful Message. Brumley’s writing was influenced by the 1924 secular ballad, “The Prisoner’s Song“.
